Rosedale and Westerdale
Two dales of the North York Moors National Park, the cottages that go with them, and the six-mile Goldsworthy walk that runs up Northdale.
At Rosedale and Westerdale
Everything here, in one place.
The Rosedale and Westerdale Estate covers two of the great dales of the North York Moors National Park — Rosedale, where Northdale climbs steeply away from Rosedale Abbey, and Westerdale to the north. It is walking country before it is anything else, and it is where Andy Goldsworthy built Hanging Stones: ten stone buildings linked by a six-mile route you need a key to open.
Hanging Stones
Ten buildings rebuilt by Andy Goldsworthy as a single artwork, connected by a six-mile walk.
