2 Northdale is the first of the Rosedale and Westerdale Estate cottages to be let, and it sits where you would want to be: in Northdale itself, in the North York Moors National Park, with the valley rising behind it.
It is a sandstone cottage under a red pantile roof, ivy across the front, with a green front door, a porch, and a lawn to the front with the dale beyond.
Inside there are three bedrooms — two doubles and a single — and one bathroom, sleeping five.
It is being renovated now. Photographs of the finished rooms and booking dates will follow in January 2027 — register your interest and we will write to you first.
The Hanging Stones walk runs from Rosedale Abbey up through this dale. Stay here, collect your key, and start the six miles from the doorstep rather than the car park.
Rosedale Abbey has a shop, a tearoom and two pubs. Pickering, Helmsley and the coast at Whitby are all an easy drive.
